Patton Blackwell

Patton Blackwell’s abstract paintings are inspired by nature: “the invisible and visible patterns in nature and life are recreated, passed on and resolved on the canvas. My forms … exist as figuration.”

She was born in South Carolina, raised in St. Paul, Minnesota, and has travelled extensively and has lived in Europe, the Middle East, North Africa, and South America. She lived in Brazil 1982–1996.

In April, 2019, she will be the Artist in Residence at Borgo Santo Pietro in Tuscany.
